Houston Texans offensive lineman Tytus Howard is no stranger to the Bayou City after five years with the organization. But perhaps the Alabama native didn’t feel like a true Houstonian until the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl the this week.
Howard, who Houston selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft, posted pictures and videos of his truck submerged in water early Wednesday afternoon. But, in true Houston fashion, Howard wasn’t without help for long. He added a video of his truck being pulled out of the water near a gas station, and as a show of appreciation, Howard provided a proper reward: cases of Modelo for any (non-drivers) who wished to participate.
