The Texans made it official, ruling out quarterback Tom Savage and outside linebacker John Simon on their Friday injury report heading into Saturday's AFC wild-card playoff game against the Oakland Raiders.
Texans coach Bill O'Brien had already indicated that Savage wouldn't play due to a concussion and that Simon would miss this game with a chest injury.
Savage is replaced by Brock Osweiler in the starting lineup. The Texans have used Akeem Dent at outside linebacker in place of Simon, who originally got hurt in a November loss to the Raiders in Mexico City.
The Texans are relatively healthy heading into this playoff game.
