In a rocky performance against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, the Texans' offensive line looked eerily similar to the substandard unit that allowed an NFL-high 62 sacks last season.
Left tackle Julién Davenport got the start ahead of Roderick Johnson and struggled mightily. He allowed two sacks with one nullified by a defensive penalty. Davenport missed a block on Cowboys defensive tackle Maliek Collins, whose tackle on Lamar Miller shredded his knee in a season-ending injury.
Plus, quarterback Deshaun Watson held the football too long in the pocket.
"The first play was a play-action pass that the ball has to come out," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said.
