No longer in pain or dealing with the nagging back injury that sidelined him for an entire week, Texans rookie center Nick Martin returned to practice Tuesday morning and didn't suffer any setbacks.
The second-round draft pick from Notre Dame was back in his role as a starter, snapping to quarterback Brock Osweiler.
"A lot better, I'm feeling good," Martin said. "It's hard not going when everyone else is."
The priority for Martin on Tuesday was regaining his timing with Osweiler on center-quarterback exchanges and his spacing with offensive guards Xavier Su'a-Filo and Jeff Allen.
"Get back in on snaps, back to basics, the operation of things," Martin said.
