Houston Texans minority owner Javier Loya has avoided a rape charge and multiple charges of sexual abuse after agreeing to a misdemeanor plea in a Kentucky court.
Loya, who took a leave of absence from the Texans last year amid his legal issues, was initially facing a charge of rape and six counts of sexual abuse allegedly stemming from parties at his home in Louisville. According to WDRB in Louisville, Loya has "pleaded guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of harassment with physical contact." He reportedly must pay a $100 fine, while agreeing to a 90-day jail sentence that will be "conditionally discharged as long as he stays out of trouble for the next two years.
