HOUSTON -- After the Houston Texans drafted running back D'Onta Foreman in the third round in April, head coach Bill O’Brien and running backs coach Charles London talked about how valuable it would be for the rookie to spell starter Lamar Miller to keep him fresh throughout the season and make sure he makes it to the end healthy.
In his first season in Houston last year, Miller had a career-high 308 touches in 14 games. He played banged up all season, and the Texans held him out of the last two regular-season games with an ankle injury.
