One year after leading the NFL in scoring, Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn is off to a rough start this season.
Fairbairn missed an extra point and a 46-yard field goal last Sunday during a win over the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. The former Lou Groza Award winner from UCLA leads all NFL kickers with four missed extra points after missing just two all of last season.
Texans coach Bill O'Brien has remained patient and has ascribed the situation to the entire operation, not just Fairbairn. Fairbairn expressed confidence Friday afternoon that the situation will improve Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
