LOS ANGELES - Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn missed a short field goal try for the second consecutive week.
Fairbairn misfired from 34 yards Sunday, missing wide left. A week ago, he missed a 37-yard field goal during a loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
It wasn't the kind of homecoming that the former Lou Groza Award winner from UCLA had envisioned. Fairbairn did convert one extra point.
He started the season with 11 consecutive made field goals as the replacement for veteran Nick Novak, but has faltered each of the past two games.
