LOS ANGELES - When the Texans shifted veteran cornerback Kareem Jackson to safety after Andre Hal was diagnosed with lymphoma, they hoped he would make a smooth transition.
That's been the case so far. Jackson intercepted Los Angeles Rams backup quarterback Sean Mannion and returned it 12 yards to set up a touchdown run by running back Alfred Blue.
"I had a chance to make a play," Jackson said. "I saw the quarterback go through his progressions and he came back to the crossing [route], so I had a chance to get a good jump on the ball.
