Five seasons after signing with the Texans as an undrafted free agent, running back Jonathan Grimes is still in the mix, although he did detour through Jacksonville and the New York, where he played briefly for the Jets as a rookie.
But Grimes, who ran for 282 of his 514 career yards in 2015, insists he hasn't surprised himself by cheating the odds.
"I expect good results," the onetime William & Mary star said. "I'm not working out to get cut. I'm working out to stay around a long time more. (Playing in the NFL) has been the plan since I was 7 years old.
