Texans veteran cornerback Johnathan Joseph was nominated for the NFL's annual Art Rooney sportsmanship award.
The award is in honor of the late Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney Sr.
It's given each year to an NFL player who displays sportsmanship and respect for the game.
Joseph is a two-time Pro Bowl selection.
The winner will be named Feb. 2 during the NFL honors program and will receive a $25,000 donation to a charity of his choice.
Past winners include Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore, Oakland Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
