SAN FRANCISCO – Texans defensive end J.J. Watt made history Saturday night when he was voted the NFL Most Valuable Player Award for a third time.
Watt joins New York Giants outside linebacker Lawrence Taylor as the only three-time winners of the award.
"It's pretty incredible," Watt said on the eve of Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium. "When I started my career five years ago, I don't think anyone, including me, could have predicted the crazy amount of success I've been fortunate to have.
"It's such a credit to my teammates, coaches and everybody who's helped me throughout my career.
