Texans defensive end J.J. Wat has been named as a finalist for the NFL Players Association Byron "Whizzer" White Community Most Valuable Player award.
Watt raised $37 million toward relief in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
The other finalists are Cincinnati Bengals quarterback and Katy graduate Andy Dalton, former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long and Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller.
Watt is also a finalist for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year.
The winner of the NFLPA award will be announced Feb. 1 at the Super Bowl and will receive a $100,000 donate toward his charitable foundation or charity of choice.
