Beating the Chiefs was especially meaningful for Texans offensive guard Jeff Allen.
Signed to a four-year, $28 million contract in March, Allen spent the first four years of his NFL career in Kansas City before joining the Texans as a free agent.
“It feels good,” Allen said. “You try your best to treat it like a regular game, but, in reality, it’s not. You build so many relationships with the players and coaches, a deep-down bond. You want to get that win because you’re a competitor.”
