JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- In the wake of an embarrassing blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars during which quarterback Blake Bortles threw three touchdown passes and no interceptions, Texans Pro Bowl outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was asked if the former first-round draft pick had improved.
Clowney replied: "He trash."
It was that kind of day for the Texans as they lost 45-7 for the most lopsided defeat in the tenure of coach Bill O'Brien.
Bortles completed 21 of 29 passes for 326 yards for a 143.8 passer rating. He was only sacked once.
"They beat us on both sides of the ball," Clowney said.
