Just days after Texans general manager Nick Caserio went on the radio and downplayed the power Jack Easterby has over the Texans' decision-making, the Texans made a move that countered everything he said.
The Texans interviewed Josh McCown for their vacant head coaching position Thursday, two days after Caserio's empty words. As the Houston Chronicle's John McClain has reported multiple times, McCown and Easterby are close friends, which has to be the only explanation for the Texans' infatuation with the backup quarterback and his coaching aspirations.
The Texans actually have interviewed McCown for the same job twice in less than 12 months, talking to him about the job last January before they hired David Culley for the gig.
