According to Ian Rapoport, the Texans are bringing in free agent S Marcus Gilchrist for a visit.

Earlier this week, Ian Rapoport reported that Gilchrist has been medically cleared from his knee injury and is scheduling visits with teams. Houston is the first visit Gilchrist has scheduled.

Gilchrist, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2011. After four years San Diego, Gilchrist signed a four-year, $22 million contract with $8.5 million guaranteed in March of 2015.

Gilchrist was set to make a base salary of $6 million for the 2017 season when the Jets elected to designate him as a post-June 1 release a few months ago.
