When Andre Hal retired this offseason, the Texans needed a replacement.
They tabbed former Los Angeles Chargers safety Jahleel Addae to fill the void, signing him to a one-year, $1.10.5 million contract.
Cut by the Chargers after starting every game last season, Addae recorded 75 tackles, one interception and one sack. The 29-year-old had 96 tackles two seasons ago for the Chargers along with a half-sack.
For his career, Addae has recorded 372 tackles, 4 1/2 sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
The Texans have been pleased this offseason with how Addae has gone about his work.
