For Texans offensive guard Jeff Allen, it was a relief when his high-ankle sprain wasn't more serious.
Allen recuperate quickly, missing the past two games before returning to practice on a full-participation basis this week.
"It feels good, I was happy to get back and contribute to help the team win," Allen said. "Obviously with a high-ankle sprain, it depends on who you are and how you react. I'm happy it didn't take that long. I feel good. I'm taking it a day at a time. Each day, it gets better."
Signed to a four-year, $28 million contract last year, Allen had offseason ankle surgery.
