WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. -- When Nick Martin suffered a season-ending high-ankle sprain last summer, it didn't decimate the interior of the Texans' offensive line.
That's because former undrafted free agent Greg Mancz capably stabilized the situation and started 18 games after Martin underwent surgery.
Now that Martin is back as the starter without a competition, Mancz provides the Texans with quality depth inside as a center-guard option. A former all-conference blocker at Toledo who spent his rookie season on injured reserve with a knee injury, Mancz earned $314,808 under the NFL annual performance-based pay system in addition to his $525,000 base salary.
