The Houston Texans have just two quarterbacks on the current roster, Tom Savage and Brandon Weeden. While GM Rick Smith said they will add a QB before training camp, the team does not feel pressure to draft one in the first round.
Savage played significant snaps in two games in 2016, Week 15 and 16, with game grades of 70.8 and 69.6. Savage left Week 17 after 17 snaps due to injury.
Savage was efficient when pressured, completing 18 of 26 attempts and an 89.9 NFL QB rating.
Savage was mistake-free yet unspectacular in 2016.
