The Texans devoted a lot of financial resources Thursday toward locking up four of their top young players to long-term deals.
During a busy round of negotiations Thursday, the Texans signed wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to a five-year, $81 million contract.
They also signed tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz to a three-year, $21.5 million deal, free safety Andre Hal to a three-year, $15 million deal and fullback Jay Prosch to a three-year, $5.75 million contract.
The Texans spent a total of $123.25 million with $68.7 million guaranteed. That included $49 million guaranteed for Hopkins to top all NFL wide receivers, $10 million guaranteed for Fiedorowicz, $7 million guaranteed for Hal and $2.
