The Houston Texans went on an offseason spending spree of sorts ahead of the 2024 season. Houston will be without one of its marquee defensive additions for the start of year.
Texans defensive end Denico Autry was suspended Monday for the first six games of 2024 due to a violation of the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy, per a league statement. Autry responded to the suspension by noting "I have never engaged in the use of performance enhancing drugs," though he did not appeal the league's decision. Autry will now miss the season's first six games, returning to the field for a road contest at the Green Bay Packers in Week 7.
