Despite remaining within one score until late in the third quarter, Houston’s offense struggled to gain momentum and was limited to just three field goals. The Texans committed two costly fumbles that contributed to 10 unanswered points by the Broncos in the second half.
Running backs Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue each had 11 carries on the night. Blue rushed for 63 yards, with Miller adding 61 yards. Osweiler was 22-of-41 for 131 yards. DeAndre Hopkins led Texans receivers with five catches for 36 yards.
The Texans defense held Denver to three-and-out on six of their 12 possessions.
