Texans face quarterback quandary heading into AFC wild-card game

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In the latest strange twist in the Texans' dramatic quarterback saga, the AFC South champions were forced to give the football back to benched $72 million starter Brock Osweiler when Tom Savage suffered a concussion in the second quarter Sunday.

Osweiler performed much better than he did for the majority of the season as he threw a touchdown, rushed for another and committed no turnovers. He completed 21 of 40 passes for 253 yards and an 80.5 passer rating during a 24-17 regular-season finale loss to the Tennessee Titans in relief of Savage after he got hurt during a quarterback sneak.
