The Texans are expected to hire Wes Welker as an offensive assistant and bring back Bobby King as linebackers coach this week.
Hiring Welker, one of the NFL's most prolific receivers when he played for New England, is no secret. It's been speculated on since last week when he was seen with the Texans' coaches at the Senior Bowl workouts.
King worked as an assistant linebackers coach for Gary Kubiak from 2011-13. He was brought in by former defensive coordinator Wade Phillips and worked under linebackers coach Reggie Herring.
King was the assistant linebackers coach at San Diego for the last three seasons.
