“I do expect Newton and Allen back,” head coach Bill O’Brien said Wednesday. “I thought that Aboushi and (Chris) Clark played well. They played tough, they fought, they protected pretty well. Are their things that we can all improve on? Yes, no doubt about it but I thought that those guys had solid games.”
Allen, who left the Oct. 9 game at Minnesota early, had been in the league’s concussion protocol and inactive against the Colts. Newton was active but did not play after being limited last week in practice with an ankle injury.
Brown played every snap in Sunday night's overtime win, after being limited in his return from offseason quadriceps surgery.
