Consider it an overall success for the Houston Texans in this year's NFL Draft. Not because there is a guarantee any of these nine players they selected will be great, or even contribute to the team. It's the fact they went into the process without desperation. They don't need any of these players to make an immediate impact, all while suspecting a few of them could.
That is a credit to the past two offseasons, as the Texans have managed to completely reimagine the franchise outlook.
There was a luxury over the weekend, watching Houston draft players, debating what their roles could be, while knowing there is already a viable NFL starter at their position.
