Growing up in Virginia, Texans veteran offensive tackle Duane Brown had a deep love for reading passed on to him by his parents at a young age.
He enjoyed classics like Dr. Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go," and "Where the Wild Things Are," by Maurice Sendak.
"Absolutely, reading was very important in my household," Brown said. "I started at a very young age, just an assortment of books. It still carries with me to this day."
Brown imparted his passion and knowledge about books Tuesday morning at Atherton Elementary in the Fifth Ward neighborhood of Houston.
