The Texans drafted Texas Tech wide receiver Keke Coutee in the fourth round with the 103rd overall selection.
Coutee (5-10, 181), a Lufkin native, led the Red Raiders with 1,429 receiving yards and scored 10 touchdowns in 2017. As a returner, Coutee recorded 315 kickoff return yards with a touchdown on 10 returns, ending his final season at Texas Tech with 1,759 all-purpose yards.
“Coutee is a natural slot receiver, possesses reliable hands, and should flourish in the slot with DeAndre (Hopkins) and Will (Fuller V) on the outside with an additional inside deep element to his game,” Texans football analyst John Harris said.
