The Texans drafted all-purpose San Jose State running back Tyler Ervin in the fourth round Saturday.
Ervin visited the Texans before the draft. The Texans also brought in Notre Dame running back C.J. Prosise and Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon for visits.
Ervin also visited the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders.
The Patriots and Green Bay Packers also displayed steady interest in Ervin.
Ervin talked with every team throughout the Senior Bowl and NFL scouting combine process.
Ervin rushed for 1,469 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.
