It didn't come as a surprise when the Texans drafted a pair of offensive tackles.
The Texans selected Alabama State left tackle Tytus Howard and Northern Illinois right tackle Max Scharping in the second round.
Following a season during which quarterback Deshaun Watson was sacked an NFL-high 62 times and hit 126 times, the Texans are executing a plan to try to upgrade the offensive line. That included signing former Pro Bowl left tackle Matt Kalil and re-signing veteran right tackle Seantrel Henderson.
Watson was aware that the Texans intended to address the offensive line during the draft and happy with the results.
