Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was touched by the heroism of Aldine High School football player Jayden Payne, inviting the teenager to attend Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Payne has accepted the social-media invitation.
Payne rescued a mother, Vinitta Williams, and her 2-year-old daughter last week from a sinking SUV in a flooded area stemming from dangerous weather conditions during Tropical Storm Imelda.
Payne dove into the flood water to save the woman and her child from a ditch near his school with help from two other men.
