Growing up in Gainesville, Ga., Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson built his skills and work ethic at the local Boys & Girls Club.
It was the start of an athletic career that included being named to the Pro Bowl as an alternate last season after being drafted in the first round and winning a national championship at Clemson as a consensus All-American.
Watson was inducted into the Boys & Girls Club Alumni Hall of Fame on Wednesday at the Marriott Marquis in Houston along with former Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson.
"It's amazing, it's awesome," said Watson, whose mother attended the ceremony.
