TAMPA, Fla. – Hobbling around the field Saturday, Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was affected by an apparent right ankle injury.
Watson downplayed the injury, which didn't force him to leave the game after being examined in the blue medical tent with backup quarterback A.J. McCarron warming up at one point.
BRIAN T. SMITH: Texans must be more than just division winners
Watson finished off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won the AFC South division title for the second year in a row. Although Watson didn't have his trademark mobility, he threw one interception and didn't have a touchdown pass, he did enough to hold off the Buccaneers and earn an automatic playoff berth.
