Texans star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins stirred the pot Monday in the wake of New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler's controversial Super Bowl benching.
Hopkins made a recruiting pitch on social media, Tweeting at the former Super Bowl hero and writing: "Wusup @mac_BZ we got a place for you in Houston."
It's an interesting development with Butler only playing one snap in the Super Bowl amidst heavy speculation from former Patriots players Brandon Browner and Donte' Stallworth that Butler was disciplined for violating team rules in Minnesota prior to kickoff.
Notwithstanding the circumstances of Butler's situation, which Patriots coach Bill Belichick has been extremely tight-lipped about, he is a pending unrestricted free agent who could potentially provide a boost to the Texans' secondary.
