Texans’ DeAndre Hopkins excels despite ankle injury

Texans All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins hardly practiced all week after spraining his ankle against the New York Jets.

Hopkins did an extremely brief warmup before kickoff against the Philadelphia Eagles, testing out his ankle and feeling satisfied he was ready to go.

And he was. Hopkins display no signs of any issues with his ankle, catching nine passes for 104 yards on 12 targets. For the season, Hopkins has 103 catches on 147 targets for 1,425 yards and 11 touchdowns.

"He's a tough guy," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "He competes so hard on Sundays.
