Houston Texans' defensive end Dylan Horton is in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma, according to a statement released by the team on Monday.
Horton, a fourth-round draft pick by the team last year, stepped away from the team during Week 12 of the NFL season in November, citing a "personal health matter." That ailment became a diagnosis of stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, which contributes to the body's immune defense. It's characterized by the overproduction of lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell, causing swollen lymphnodes and growths throughout the body.
