The Texans have released wide receiver-kick returner Chris Thompson, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
Thompson already is drawing interest from other NFL teams.
Thompson was sidelined for the majority of the preseason with a concussion sustained during the start of training camp. However, he had recently returned to practice after his symptoms had subsided.
