According to John McClain, Shane Lechler is one of the notable players cut during the final round of cuts to get to the 53-man roster.
Lechler’s departure clears the way for Tennessee rookie Trevor Daniel to claim the starting punter job.
Lechler joined the Texans as a young 37 year-old back in 2013 to be closer to his East Bernard home and punted for the Texans for the past five seasons.
During his Houston career, Lechler continued to be one of the stronger punters in the league as he continued his Hall of Fame pace.
