The Texans have released veteran offensive guard David Quessenberry, an emotional decision as they part ways with a player who's been an inspiration for so many
Quessenberry is a cancer survivor who bravely battled his way back onto the field. He conquered non-Hodgkin T-lymphoblastic lymphoma.
Quessenberry spent months undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy as an intravenous line sent medication into his veins to save his life. He was declared free of cancer in April.
The 26-year-old former sixth-round draft pick from San Jose State posted a video on Instagram earlier this year showing him knocking the bell off a wall at MD Anderson to commemorate being cancer-free.
