Texans could play the Chiefs in the playoffs -- again

HOUSTON -- As things currently stand in the NFL standings, the Houston Texans would play the Kansas City Chiefs for the fourth time in the past two seasons.

The AFC South champion Texans are set at the No. 4 seed for the second straight year, and would host the Chiefs at NRG Stadium if the season ended today. The 11-4 Chiefs locked up a wild-card berth on Sunday night with a convincing win over the reigning Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos.

Of course, this could change, as the Chiefs could beat the San Diego Chargers on the road, and the Derek Carr-less Oakland Raiders lose to the Broncos on the road in the regular-season finale.
