Texans corner Shareece Wright playing through pain

Shareece Wright is one of the last standing cornerbacks on the Texans' roster.

Already playing without starter Aaron Colvin due to an ankle injury with cornerbacks Kevin Johnson and Kayvon Webster on injured reserve, it's a thin position for the Texans.

Wright is playing hurt, though. He has a cast on his sprained thumb.

"It's painful," Wright said. "Yeah, I'll be playing."

The Texans' options at corner are primarily Wright and Kareem Jackson opposite Johnathan Joseph with Tyrann Mathieu and rookie Justin Reid at safety.

"Look, I think every team in this league's dealing with injuries," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said.
