Texans corner Kevin Johnson 'competitive, knocking rust off'

Leaping high into the air to knock away an end-zone pass from Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Texans cornerback Kevin Johnson prevented a touchdown pass.

In his first game back from a Grade 2 sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee, Johnson got picked on some. He also made some plays, finishing with five tackles and one pass defended.

"I think he's been out for a while, so I think probably knocking some of the rust off, but I think he, like he always does, he competes hard," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "He's a great kid and he'll get better and better.
