As encouraged as the Texans are about DeAndre Carter as a return specialist and backup wide receiver, he has to stop fumbling the football.
Carter has fumbled three times, losing none, on returns since joining the Texans off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Carter has averaged 23.7 yards per kickoff return and 10.6 yards per punt return with seven catches for 46 yards, but his lack of ball security has emerged as a concern.
"Yeah, the ball's been on the ground," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "He's got to stop doing that because he has been a good addition to our team.
