Texans' coaching moves show fixing offense is priority

HOUSTON -- Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien is ready to take the Texans' offensive struggles into his own hands.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed Wednesday that the Texans don’t plan to hire an offensive coordinator to replace George Godsey -- who agreed to mutually part ways with Houston earlier in the week -- and that O’Brien will call plays next season.

Godsey called plays for the Texans through the first three games before O'Brien took over after the Texans' 27-0 loss to the New England Patriots. A week later -- though against a very different opponent -- the Texans put up 27 points in a victory over the Tennessee Titans.
