When Pro Bowl outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney called Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles "trash," after Bortles shredded the Texans' defense last year, the comment created a stir.
The Texans had lost 45-7, the most lopsided defeat in the tenure of coach Bill O'Brien. And Bortles had three touchdowns, zero interceptions and completed 21 of 29 passes for 326 yards and a 143.8 passer rating. He was only sacked once.
Clowney was frustrated and doubled down on the "trash" remark about Bortles days later.
It's a stance from Clowney that O'Brien strongly disagrees with.
