The Texans are closing in on a deal with center Nick Martin, their second-round pick in this year's draft, according to sources not authorized to speak publicly.
The deal hasn't been finalized for the former Notre Dame standout, but Martin will ultimately sign a four-year contract worth $4.774 million that includes a $1.672 million signing bonus and have a first-year salary-cap figure of $868,177.
The Texans remain in negotiations with Martin and fellow unsigned draft picks Will Fuller and Braxton Miller. Progress has been made in the discussions with Miller.
The Texans traded a sixth-round draft pick to the Atlanta Falcons to move up to draft Martin, the younger brother of Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Zack Martin.
