The Texans were awarded cornerback Vernon Hargreaves off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.

Hargreaves was released by Tampa Bay as coach Bruce Arians was upset with what he perceived as a lack of hustle.
Hargreaves is a former 11th overall pick of the draft from Florida.
At 5-10, 204 pounds, he's run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
He has two career interceptions and two forced fumbles.
Hargreaves is playing under a four-year, $14.
