Texans offensive tackle Chris Clark has held down the fort on the left side while three-time Pro Bowl blocker Duane Brown recuperated from surgery to repair a torn quadriceps tendon.
Now, Brown has returned to practice and is preparing to make his season debut within the next two games. Brown is regarded as more likely to play next week against the Minnesota Vikings, but hasn't been ruled out as a possibility to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Signed to a two-year, $6 million contract this offseason as an insurance policy with Brown rehabbing from a major injury, Clark started the first three games of the season and held his own.
